COLORADO GRAND PRIX August 1-2, 2026 This August, Rocky Mountain Vintage Racing continues to honor the heritage of Road Racing in Colorado, with the Colorado Grand Prix. The Colorado Grand Prix was the pinnacle of SCCA pro racing in Colorado throughout the 1960s, 1970s, and into the early 1980s. Formerly hosted at the Continental Divide Raceways, the event was host to Formula 5000, Formula B, Can-Am, Trans-Am, and Formula Super Vees. While we may simply be borrowing the name, our racing spirit remains the same as the original. This year the spotlight is on Big Formula and Sports Racers, RMVRs newest run-group. These cars are some of the fastest of the weekend and always provide a spectacle! Unlike last year, the standard RMVR run groups will be in place. WHAT: Colorado Vintage Grand Prix WHERE: High Plains Raceway WHEN: August 1-2, 2026 WHO: YOU! This event is free to spectators, so invite friends and family! High Plains Raceway will be hosting a RMVR EXCLUSIVE open lapping all day on Friday, July 31st, as well as a general open lapping on Thursday, July 30th from 1pm-5pm. To register for Thusday's lapping day To register for Friday's lapping day Saturday night dinner is on the menu! Dinner will be provided by the fantastic catering crew of High Plains Raceway!
